🔅 fuction class:- antidepressant, tricyclic

🔅 chemical class:- tertiary amine

◾do not confuse:- clomiphene, Clomipramine

💠 Action:- potentiatez serotonin and norepinephrine; moderate anticholinergic effect.

💠uses:- obsessive compulsive disorder.

◾ unable use:- Autism, depression.

💠 contraindications:- Hypersensitivity to this product,carbamazepine, tricyclic, immediate post- MI

💠 dosage and routes:-

Ocd -adult po- 25 mg bedtime

Child – 25 mg/day, may increase if needed.

🔅 Available forms:- caps 25,50,75 mg.

✴️side effects:-

Dizziness, tremors,mania, drowsiness headache, insomnia, anxiety hypotension, tachycardia, palpitations, blurred vision, dyspepsia,diaphoresis, flushing, rash

🔅 treatment for overdose:-

ECG monitoring,induce emesis,lavage, diazepam iv.
